The world continues to rotate and go around, we still eat, sleep and work as usual.
We didnt had a grand celebration, or buying each other with very expensive gifts. All we had was a buffet dinner at the hotel that we got married at.
What is marriage all about?
Honestly, its as simple as having 2 person sleeping on the same bed, and the feeling sometimes its good, other times, you really just wanted all some space to yourself.
In the past 1 year, we attended many weddings, heard many pregnancies and proposal. Sometimes, i wish time could just turn back.
After getting married, i think one of the major thing that i missed most is my mother's cooking! Trust me, i wish i had my mother next door, so that she can cook anytime and any dish i ask for. At least i dont have to travel from the east to the west just for ONE meal! And spend my entire day just because of ONE meal!
I also do miss chit chatting companion, though the husband has a big family, but they are all so used to doing things themselves and staring into space without talking for hours! I am quite on the opposite! I need to talk and vent the day out, the husband does his part by listening and multi-tasking too!! This is so diff from the small family that i came from.
And i definitely do miss the short traveling time and distance from Woodlands to Bishan as compared to Simei to Bishan!! The time and distance seems to double overnight! However, i still thank God, that as much as possible, the husband sends me and pick me up from work! So while he drives, i get to SLEEP!
But this one year, i learn alot too! Thanks to the training master, none other then Mr Yeo.
Through our different upbringings and lifestyle, we both learn to give in a little more, to try to accommodate each other more. Much less to say, ever since i got pregnant, everyone seems to be giving in to me even more.
I always remember during one of the dec holiday, i needed to head back to school and work, and YY does not have the car for the day as it was stranded in the car workshop. My father-in-law offered to drive me to work! Though honestly, i could easily hail a cab or catch the train to work. It was totally not on the way for my father in law to drive me to work, yet, he went the extra mile for me and baby.
My mother in law went all the way to look for a confinement lady for me when the one that we originally wanted was booked. She even arrange a meet up and buy me many clothes as well as essences and bird nest. I was never ever a fan of such tonic, they know, yet they are willing to spend that money when i dont really appreciate.
Last but not least, of course that husband who always try to fulfill his daughter's and my craving. He will specially go out to look for that particular food item that i want and satisfy me. Without fail, rain or shine. He take pains in driving me to work then heading down to his office, enduring that 1 over hours of jam per trip! That makes him spend up to 3 hours stuck in jam just to get to office and then picking me up after work.
To end it, i am looking forward to the little one's arrival and with her, i find company when the husband is always not around!!
