Genesis 26:12
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
God told Isaac to stay in the land, even though there was a famine. His father Abraham had gone down to Egypt during a famine in his day & picked up many problems. Isaac obeyed God & 'stayed' & 'sowed’in the Promised Land. The land was the 'place' of covenant. It's us remaining in the church, the 'place' God has prepared for us.
In a time of drought & famine, Isaac stepped out & sowed seed. We must keep giving even in famine. Sowing & giving are synonomous in Paul's writings.
Our harvests don't just fall in our lap. We must go out & reap the answers to our prayers. Blessings always falls on the obedient. God was quick to display His pleasure with Isaac - In the same year - He reaped '100 fold'
Saw this in Pst Phil's Blog. Man!! This is so impacting! And I think this coming Easter, Its time for us to do something!!!

I refused Him nothing!
Went down to Expo just for a group meeting.
Went for a Connect group prayer meeting before that. I really thank God for making that arrangement for me to go for both the meetings. Somehow God impresses me alot in each meeting.
After prayer meet, thanks to some kind hearted soul who sent me to expo. I mean otherwise i will never reach on time. Anyway, during the group meeting, 85 shared something that really touches my heart!
He shared about Mother Teressa. During her period of ministry. In one of her journal, She wrote that many times she does not felt the Presence of God and is unsure what she is doing is it right. But she wrote that 'no matter what happen, she refused Him nothing, and will continue to love Him (God), as though He was never been loved before'
This touches me alot. Many times when we 'work' on our ministry, what is the exact motive behind? Are we for ourselves or for God? Many times, we grew weary and tired, burned out. But did we still love God as though He was never been loved before? Is our passion still as strong? Or are we in our comfort zone. Waiting by the premise for the promise?
I dont know, but i was very much reminded when Roger first offered me the chance to rise up. Offered me the chance to do more for the group and do more for the ministry. That leads me to be able to serve my CUs and ACUs. That gets me to be in 'the 12'. And to where i am today. Without Roger's belief in me. Believe that i can do more then i am. Of cos with 83's guidance, i dont think i can come to where i am today. Sometimes, i really thank God for everything. Though at times, when i dont feel God, i do question, am i doing the right thing. But still for everything that happen, it happened for a reason!!

Thanksgiving CG
Jus came back from my Subzone thanksgiving cum CNY cg at Riverwalk! It was really fun, cool and exciting!
Went to Bugis in the afternoon with my sister, trust me, i HATED the crowd at Bugis! It was so crowded that i really dont feel like moving! If not for the encomical clothings that are sold there, i doubt i will ever go there! Goodness! But the good thing is i bought a top there! And it was soooo CHEAP! Or rather economical! haha.
Headed to Riverwalk after the shopping at Bugis.
Was there early to help with the preparation and all other matters. Sometimes it feel so good to be a participator rather then a spectator! I was really enjoying myself the whole time though i was there early!
We had games led by Sandy and Cecil. Hmmz.. I had a good time pasting stickers on people's faces! hahA! Other than being 'held captive' being Tan Sijia! Haha! Bleh! Hmmz... The rest of the programme was good! Praise and Worship and bla bla bla!
Already said that it was thanksgiving, so we gave thanks to people who tirelessly served the cell group during the whole year of 2008. And i got the award for Sunshine! Wohoo!! haha! That goes to show that i always bring laughters to people around me! Thats a good thing! Anyway, i really had a great time with my subzone and also my cg!
And not to forget, we lau yu sheng in our own respective cg! That was sooooo cool!!
